Press Release : Strelia launches Employment practice with leading lawyer Pieter De Koster


Pieter De Koster joins the corporate and litigation boutique Strelia and starts its Employment and Benefits practice.

Strelia has announced today the launch of an employment & benefits practice with  leading specialist Pieter De Koster as a partner.

Pieter (59), former partner at Allen & Overy  LLP (since 1990), was the head of the Belgian employment practice of that firm until 2014 and of its global employment practice until 2012. 

Over the past two decades, Pieter has consistently been ranked as a top tier and band 1 lawyer for employment & benefits in all major legal directories (such as Legal 500, Chambers and Who’s Who Legal).         

Until now, Strelia did not have its own practice of employment & benefits. The start up of this practice at Strelia is testament to the strategic relevance of human capital  - and its legal aspects - for the firm’s client base, including in corporate transactions. The new team will work closely with Strelia’s corporate, tax and disputes specialists, in order to offer a holistic and integrated service.

Earlier this year, Strelia has announced the opening of a Luxembourg office with new partner Dirk Leermakers as part of the firm’s efforts to better serve its international clients.
