On 5 June, Bart De Moor at Strelia, had the privilege of serving as a lead juror at the Young European Lawyers Contest (YELC) 2026 semi-finals in Paris, organised at the Barreau de Paris and co-funded by the European Union.

Four outstanding teams from the Paris YELC programme presented and defended their written submissions before a panel of experienced litigators; demonstrating not only technical excellence, but also sharp analytical thinking and advocacy under pressure.

Participating as a juror offers a valuable perspective on the next generation of litigators: how they approach complex disputes, challenge assumptions, and shape legal arguments.
