The Brussels based corporate and litigation boutique Strelia reinforces its international offering by opening an office in Luxembourg.

-- Brussels and Luxembourg, 22 June 2017.

Less than 5 years after it was created Brussels, Strelia will now open an office in Luxembourg.

From the start, Strelia was internationally oriented. The move towards Luxembourg is part of the firm’s efforts to better serve its international clients. To that purpose, it has recruited as partner Dirk Leermakers, who has been active as a lawyer in Luxembourg for more than 15 years.

Dirk Leermakers and Olivier Clevenbergh, Strelia’s managing partner, have already closely worked together, since they opened together the Luxembourg office of Stibbe, when Olivier Clevenbergh was Stibbe Brussels’ managing partner. Dirk Leermakers was also one of the founders and thereafter the managing partner of the Luxembourg office of Loyens.

The new Luxembourg office, which will be fully active from 1 September 2017, is the evidence of Strelia’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to growing its international activities.

The team in Luxembourg will mainly focus on corporate and finance work.

Strelia does not plan to open offices in other jurisdictions, where it works with independent firms with which it has a strong connection.
