Pierre Goffinet, Partner in our Competition Law and Regulatory practice, and Pauline Van Sande wrote an article in the legal journal TBH/RDC 2022/7. 

Their article deals with the finalization of the transposition of the ECN+ Directive into Belgian Competition Law through the law of 28 February 2022. This article gives an overview of all the changes with respect to all the relevant aspects of Belgian Competition Law: (i) modification of substantial law; (ii) organization of the Belgian Competition Authority; (iii) rules of procedures (investigation, decision-making, general or specific to merger control or antitrust, cooperation with other national competition authorities); (iv) fines; (v) appeals; and (vi) interaction with criminal law.
