Pierre Goffinet is vennoot in onze praktijkgroep Mededingingsrecht en Sectorale regelgeving.

Pierre behandelt niet alleen antitrust-, concentratiecontrole-, buitenlandse subsidies, buitenlandse directe investeringen en staatssteunzaken, maar is ook erkend als deskundige op het vlak van energie, telecommunicatie en transport. Zijn antitrustervaring omvat zowel kartels en mededingingsbeperkende overeenkomsten, als misbruik van een dominante positie of economische afhankelijkheid. Pierre combineert een expertise in zowel economie als mededingingsrecht, zowel op Europees als op Belgisch niveau.

Pierre vertegenwoordigt economische spelers (in het bijzonder deze actief in netwerkindustrieën) voor (nationale en Europese) rechtbanken en mededingingsautoriteiten.

Hij is een erkend deskundige op vlak van sectorale regelgeving: energie (toepassing van netwerkcodes, het verbod op marktmanipulatie en handel met voorkennis (REMIT)), telecom (digitalemarktenverordening (DMA) en het wetboek electronische communicatie), transport (luchtvervoer, wegtransport en spoorvervoer), distributie en financiën (verzekeringen).

Pierre implementeert ook op maat gemaakte compliance-programma's met betrekking tot deze verschillende mededingingsrechtelijke en regelgevende kwesties. 

Voor Pierre zich aansloot bij Strelia, werkte hij als onderzoeker toegepaste macro-economie aan de Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) (2002-2004), advocaat bij twee Magic Circle advocatenkantoren (2004-2009), auditeur bij de Belgische Mededingingsautoriteit (2009-2013) en vennoot in een Belgisch advocatenkantoor (2014-2021).

Opleiding

Pierre behaalde zijn diploma in de rechten aan de Université Catholique de Louvain in 2001. Pierre behaalde ook een bachelor (2002) en master (2004) in de economische wetenschappen aan dezelfde universiteit.
