Louise De Meese is an associate in our Intellectual Property and Technology practice.
Louise advises clients on a broad range of intellectual property and regulatory matters. Her practice covers copyright, trade secrets, trademarks, unfair market practices and related regulatory issues. She also advises on agency, distribution and franchising arrangements, as well as on IT and data protection / EU digital law matters, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. In addition, she regularly assists clients with the management and enforcement of their trademark and design portfolios.
Prior to joining Strelia, she worked at two boutique law firms specialised in intellectual property law. During this time, she developed her expertise across a broad range of IP-related matters. She learned to address complex legal issues in a practical and commercially effective manner.
Education
Louise graduated in 2020 from the KU Leuven. Her studies were focused on economic and international law. She also studied for a year as an Erasmus student at Durham University. After her studies, she completed an LL.M. in EU Competition Law and Regulation at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Professional Training for Benelux Trademark and Design Attorney of the BBMM.
